Boy vs Asphalt

I should never have told McKay that
Chicks Dig Scars.
I think he's taking this a bit too far.

Teens, Gorillas & the subsequent Nightmares

Now, don't get me wrong...
i LOVE
having the teenagers crash my pad
for an impromptu
Pah-tay.

However, when the party involves an impromptu gorilla showing up and scaring the knickers off my little peeps...
I must draw the line.

Because, believe it or not
I Do Not Love
having 3 extra bodies sleeping in my
Queen Size
bed.

Call Me Suzie... Homemaker, part II

What's a mother to do when she:
a) has just arrived home from vacation
b) looks into the pantry, only to find it mostly empty
c) is informed that her son's church class is in charge of treats for the Bishop's fireside (tonight)?

Christmas in July, baby!
or April
I always knew that green plastic Christmas tree plate would come in handy one day...

Group Date Night

This is what happens when 8 friends take their sons (who are all friends) out on an octuple date.
You KNOW it's gonna be fun!!!

(Chase, McKay & Rustin)
Some enjoyed dinner.
All enjoyed
Thoroughly Modern Millie

complete with cute little chicks that the boys know.
(it was fun to watch the girls on stage when they realized there was a front row full of cute boys... there were many glances, winks & waves. needless to say, the boys were... well, smitten as a whole)
And to top off the evening, dessert.
Delightful!

(Conner, Rustin, Chase, Mr. Green Shirt, Addison, Courtney, Andy, Brooke,
McKay, Sam, Girl From Play Who Repeatedly Glanced, Toree & Treven)
We collectively give you 2 thumbs up Toree, Courtney & Brooke!

(Addison, Conner, Courtney, Rustin, Toree, McKay & Treven)
The End.
to a beautiful evening.

Death by AXE... cologne, that is.

14 years of anticipation
all leading up to one monumental event...
Their First Stake Dance
Chase & McKay were so excited to attend their first Stake Dance... and BONUS it was from 9:00 - 12:30, being on New Years' Eve. They could hardly contain their nervous energy. At one point McKay had to come home & lie down for a bit (excitement overload). They went shopping & bought new shirts, took extra long showers, made a list (and checked it twice), brushed their teeth thrice and of course doused themselves in AXE.
All while dreaming about the LADIES.
Prepping
Primping
Posing

April 15th

If I can make it 4 more hours, I will have survived another TAX season... with a little help from my friend. (thanks Karen!!!)

It is a true testament to the importance of my husband in our family as I see the effects of his absence on each of our children. We have had a lot of this...

and this...

And there were times when I just wanted to...

Still somehow, with what little time he had, he found ways to love us. Like staying up late with Jon (15) & McKay (13) to watch Rush Hour (for the 11th time), even though I know he was exhausted. Or waiting until I fell asleep & going to the grocery store at 11:30 pm on a Saturday night, as he knew I was too overwhelmed to make a grocery list. Or letting our 3 little ones (5, 3, 1) ride in his car out of our driveway every morning jamming to the music, even though he was always in a hurry & it takes 15 long minutes to load & unload everyone. His kind acts sustained us.

I love & appreciate this guy.

Can't wait to have you back !!!
